Connection Card

There are a couple of ways for you to start getting acquainted with who we  are and what we're about:

Who We Are, Our Team, and Our Values.

You can also learn about the different ways to connect with others through our Community Ministries like Small Groups, and Sunday School; or through our Adult Care Ministries like Divorce Care and Grief Share.

If you have children then make sure to check out our:

Children's Ministry , Preteen Ministry, and Youth Ministry!

Sunday  Worship  Gatherings

In the midst of CoVid-19 our worship gatherings might look a little different. While some of us might be worshiping and learning from home and others in our actual Chapin UMC Campus, we believe in the importance and value of coming together as one body in Christ! We offer both traditional and contemporary worship experiences. While the worship style might differ between the services we praise and honor God with the same heart!

There are a couple ways for you to join us for a worship gathering. You can join us  live on the website or you can plan a visit to our campus in Chapin!

  • This week's reading from acts

We would love for you to read and pray through the section from which the sermon will be preached prior to gathering with us for worship. However, for the next two Sundays - September 25 and October 2 - we will be taking a break from ACTS to focus on our GIC [Global Impact Celebration]! More info is below!

  • Global Impact Celebration

The Global Impact Celebration or GIC is a special 4-day event taking place September 29-October 2, 2022 that focuses on MISSIONS. This incredible event allows us to bring our mission partners, the missionaries we support and our church family together so we can bless them with four great days of love, encouragement, good times and fellowship.

We will kick off GIC by sponsoring a Meal Packing Event for Mission of Hope in Haiti on Saturday, September 24th. We will continue serving others throughout the week by participating in various challenges each day to help us “Accelerate” God’s love in our community.

For 12 years CUMC has organized this event annually for two purposes. One is to bring in many of our partner missionaries from around the world and bless them and secondly to raise awareness of the existence of global and local missions in need of our support. GIC is an event you and your family will not want to miss.

CUMC has supported more than a dozen global missionaries working in Kenya, Costa Rica, China and India; just to name a few of the countries, and many local ministries in Chapin, Columbia, Newberry and as far away nationally as Kentucky.

GIC weekend simply allows us to fully engage our senses in the Great Commission and we have the privilege to interact with the folks who are in the field living it out in ways we are not able to.
