Sunday  Worship  Gatherings

In a world that is radically different from what it was just three years ago, some now choose to worship and learn from home, while many others are physically present on the Chapin Christian Community Church campus. In the midst of this new reality, we affirm our belief in the importance and value of coming together - when possible - as a part of the one body of Christ. To that end, we offer both traditional and contemporary worship experiences, and while the worship style might differ between the services, we seek to praise and honor God with the same heart!

We would love for you to join us for a worship gathering! You can do so here at our campus in Chapin [plan a visit]or you can worship with us live right HERE!

If you're facing a challenging moment or would just like to share some praise about something God has been doing in your life, then take a few minutes and let us know. Thanks!

Fourty Days | A Lenten Journey of reflection & Response

We invite you to join us in reading Forty Days | A Lenten Journey of Reflection & Response. This is a collection of daily devotions written by the staff of Chapin Christian Community Church. This allows us the opportunity to be one as a church, reading the same scriptures, praying the same prayers, and asking God to do a work in our hearts and lives.

There are two versions available: a soft back print version, which can be picked up on Sunday morning, and an e-book version.

Shaking the gates

We would love for you to join us for this new Sunday Night Online Prayer Gathering at 7:30PM we’re calling Shaking the Gates … We got the name from a quote by John Wesley … “Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin, and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen; such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of heaven on Earth.”

God answered Wesley’s prayer and used Wesley and the Methodist Movement to light and fan the flames of revival, a revival that spread scriptural holiness across the land! We want to see that kind of move of God again! We believe with all of our hearts it begins when we cry out to God like Wesley did!

“Oh God, please give us 100 pray-ers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but You … for such alone can shake the gates of hell and see the kingdom of heaven advance here on earth!”

Join us this Sunday night at 7:30PM and be a part of the 100+!

Shaking the Gates

New name, same church

Back on February 26, 2023, Chapin UMC voted 97% in favor of separating from the United Methodist denomination. After the vote to separate from the denomination was approved by the SC Annual Conference on June 6, 2023, The Church Council voted unanimously to adopt a new name for this amazing church family: Chapin Christian Community Church! It declares to all where we are [Chapin] who we are [Christian]  and what we are [a church open to the community and the world]! The name on the sign may have changed, but we are the same church, rooted deeply in Wesleyan Theology [what we believe] and Methodist Polity [how we do church]!

On July 30, 2023, the Chapin Christian family voted 90% in favor of aligning with The Foundry Network [to learn more CLICK HERE], a group of former UM Churches in the Wesleyan Tradition who have come together for even greater Kingdom impact, to work together to reawaken the movement of Christ in our communities.  This network is made up of accountable relationships that are simple and clear and that provide opportunities to learn, encourage, support and advance the Kingdom of God together!
