Chapin UMW is a community of women whose purpose is to know
God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a
creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through
participation in the global ministries of the Church UMW Circles.
Membership in Chapin UMW is open to all women; new
members are welcome anytime. Our organization exists to deepen each member's
spiritual life and to lend support and leadership to Chapin United Methodist
Church.
We share in a community of over one million women across the
country and all over the world who are organized for mission. We are challenged
to grow spiritually, intellectually and personally. We nurture and encourage
one another in our spiritual growth and personal development through Circles
that meet monthly and through local, district, and conference events. Overall
coordination of Chapin UMW activities is accomplished through an Executive
Committee comprised of Circle leaders, committee chairpersons, and elected
officers. Participation in this group of committed women is a unique
opportunity, and we would love to have you join us!
